Frequently Asked Questions

What does KAngell specialize in?
Katherine specializes in all things love! Weddings, Engagements and Bridal sessions are the most common with an occasional lifestyle session from time to time. Her photographic style is romantic, natural and bright.

Why would we choose to have an additional photographer?
A photography team allows for two people to capture more unforgettable moments happening simultaneously throughout your wedding day. The additional photographer provides more candids, more angles and more time with the groomsmen, while Katherine is with the bride. Choosing to invest in a second shooter allows your love story to be captured through two pairs of eyes and perspectives.

Where are we going to take the photos?
We will select a location that reflects your unique personality and style. The New England landscape provides various settings that will serve as a beautiful backdrop for your photos: from rustic, open fields and roaring oceans to elegant, classic landmarks.

How long before the photographs are ready to be previewed?
Your wedding photos will be ready within 3-7 weeks and other sessions will take 1-4 weeks. In Katherine's slower season turn-around will be much quicker.

How many photographs will I be given on my USB?
The number of photos will vary dependent upon the collection you select; this could be anywhere from 400 to 600 photos. Other sessions include 50 photos.

How do you edit the photos?
Katherine cleans up blemishes, softens skin tones, sharpens eyes, color corrects, and adjusts exposure as needed. Advanced photoshop retouching on request will be charged accordingly.

What should I wear?
Bring two to three outfits. Simple, neutral clothing is the best choice and creates a nice portrait where the main point of focus is you! Choose two neutrally soft outfits and one darker, richer-colored outfit. Coordinate your colors with your fiancĂ©. Avoid logos and writing because they will compete with the subject's face for attention. Avoid small, tight, high contrast stripes or patterns, as they can create an optical illusion when displayed as low-resolution images on a computer monitor.

What are my ownership rights to the photos?
KAngell owns the copyright to all the photographs. You will receive a copyright release document stating that you have permission to reprint and share photos for personal use only. Photos are prohibited from being altered in any way. Only high-resolution photos can be shared on social media or any internet site and must be credited to KAngell Photography.

When is payment due?
Your $1,000 wedding retainer will secure your date and is due upon contract signing. The remaining balance is due three months prior to the wedding. A $100 session retainer secures your date and is due upon contract signing. The remaining balance is due the day of the session.
